belated remarks

My neck hurts so much that I’ll stop updating here today. I’ll get up early tomorrow morning and finish writing the current half chapter and send it out.

I didn’t save the manuscript before it was put on the shelves, and I didn’t have time to write any comments about it being put on the shelves. I just want to take this opportunity to talk about this book.

Many readers of this subject know that Brother Zhi is based on Xiao Ai, a blogger on Xiaohongshu.

It's roughly a story about a loser who listens to advice, then implements netizens' suggestions with high execution ability, and keeps getting better.

As for urban novels, I like to read them when I'm not writing. I always believe that the advantage of urban themes is that we can use real-life backgrounds as templates to bring about the growth of the protagonist.

So in this book, I tried to incorporate a lot of current events to enhance this sense of immersion. And try to add stronger emotions to make Zhi Ge's character more distinct.

This way of writing is actually a bit extreme. When readers know this joke, they will smile knowingly and find it very interesting. But if you don’t know this joke, you might think, “Holy shit, that’s so embarrassing!”

Hmm... To Erzui's relief, the results looked pretty good.

Before it was put on the shelves, the second round of recommendation scores had already taken off. In one week, the number of favorites increased by nearly 30,000, and the number of readers exceeded 7,000, ranking first in the new book list.

It was put on the shelves on the 1st, and it reached 10,000 orders on the first day, ranking first in the monthly ticket list for new books.

To be honest, I am very excited. This is the best result I have ever achieved since joining the industry.

But more than anything, it was gratitude—gratitude that was not hypocritical at all.

I am very happy every time I see the cute readers catching up on the jokes being thrown out, or even seeing through the plot that is about to develop.

There is a feeling of "fuck, they understand me" - the joy of writing a book is roughly reflected in this.

After "Senior Superstar" ended, I have actually been very emo for the past two years. Maybe it's because I wrote too many tear-jerking scripts during the writing process of "Old Age", or maybe it's because of the two-year epidemic. In short, in the past two years, I lost my desire to express myself.

But in this book, the desire for expression that I felt when I wrote my first book in 2016 and wanted to tell all the interesting stories in my stomach has returned.

Compared to the results, this is something that makes the two idiots happier.

Therefore, I would like to express my sincere thanks to every book lover who subscribed and cast a monthly vote and supported Erzui with real money.

I also sincerely thank you for every comment and article that made Erzui smile knowingly and feel that his soul is not alone!

The launch is just the beginning, there is still a long way to go.

I hope to accompany Brother Zhi to create more happiness and refreshment for all readers in the coming days!
