Chapter 59 Immortality
Gotham.
A certain base of the Court of Owls welcomed an uninvited guest.
This is a square as wide as the ancient Roman Colosseum. A slave auction seems to be going on. It is hard to imagine that in the civilized world, there is such a naked place for human trading.
There are a lot of people here, and men and women wearing white owl masks are roaring and howling hysterically. They take off the disguise of civilized people here and wantonly vent their inner darkness and naked desires.
And Bane broke into it at this time.
As a claw with twisted limbs was thrown into the center of the square by him, the extravagant banquet was interrupted, and the upper class people wearing masks and well-dressed gradually stopped the noise.
"Wow-it seems that our banquet has welcomed a new guest! Let him in! Claws!"
Bane lowered his head and slowly passed by several claws holding sharp blades.
Their blades did not retreat at all when Bane walked by, as if they intended to cut a long bloody wound on his body, just to give the man in front of them a small blow.
But they failed to do it.
The sharp blades cut through Bane's clothes, leaving not even a white mark on his body that was like cast steel. The claws felt like they were scratching on a rubber tire with elasticity.
Bane walked out of the gate of the Colosseum, like a gladiator in the ancient Roman Colosseum, and slowly walked to the center of the arena under the gaze of everyone.
A court member with the highest status sitting at the highest point signaled to the claws, and the living goods that were originally being auctioned were removed.
They cried and shouted at Bane, but they only received whips and beatings, which did not move the burly man at all.
The court member seemed to be satisfied with Bane's behavior of not intending to meddle in other people's business. He lowered his head slightly and pulled the microphone:
"Bane. You have rejected our kindness before. How dare you show up in front of us now?"
The sound amplified by the speakers was loud and grand, and all the members of the Court of Owls in the entire arena stared at Bane. All of them wore white owl masks, and the scene seemed a little scary for some reason.
Bane's eyes stayed on a little girl wearing a mask. The other girl seemed to notice the strong man's eyes, so she tilted her head into her parents' arms.
"And...how did you find me...?"
The man wearing a white owl mask was attracted by a locator raised by Bane before he finished speaking.
A red bright spot on it kept flashing.
"When did you stay..."
The man with the white eagle mask said half of his words, and then suddenly realized. He looked at a claw standing quietly next to him.
"Cut his body."
With the man's crisp and clear command, the other claws next to him acted together in an instant, and the claw was quickly cut into pieces.
Soon, they found a tiny locator in the claw's neck.
The leading member of the Court of Owls slowly clapped his hands.
"Surprising."
He said, "Detailed observation skills. Most people would believe that someone is dead after seeing his head twisted off. But you left a locator in the body."
The court member was a little annoyed: "Damn it, you tricked me. We are a secret organization. You said, you found us, what should we do with you?"
"I'm here to seek cooperation." Bane answered him: "I'm here to ask for electrum."
This word made the court member standing on the high platform pause.
"Where did you hear that from... Never mind, it doesn't matter."
He gave a crisp order: "Claws! Kill the invaders!"
He held the microphone, turned his head, and said to the other members: "I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen, the party is over early, we must..."
"I need to be implanted with electrum. In exchange, after I defeat Batman, take over this city, and die, I am willing to let my body become the claws of the Court of Owls. That's my condition."
Bane said.
The white owl masked man on the high platform stopped his movements.
Bane tore the clothes on his arms, and he saw clearly that the other party's body was covered with tiny plants, like some vines and green grass growing directly in his flesh. Such a physical condition is enough to make any biologist dare not believe his eyes.
What is more eye-catching is the other half of his body: completely opposite to the grassy side, it presents an unhealthy bluish-white color.
The white owl masked man was very familiar with this color, the black veins hidden under the bluish-white skin. This was a physical condition that only dead people would have. The claws of the Court of Owls basically all looked like this.
"Try to attack him."
As soon as he gave the order, the claw beside Bane swung his knife at that place without hesitation.
Bane didn't even dodge.
Under the full-strength stab of the claw assassin, his skin was broken and the blade sank a little bit.
The claw assassin slowly put away the knife, but no blood flowed out, as if it had stabbed into a pile of hard leather armor that was stacked.
"It's amazing, Bane, something happened to you that we don't know about." The white owl masked man said slowly.
He changed his attitude: "Maybe we can talk."
"Yes." Bane answered him. He punched the head of the sharp-clawed assassin who had just stabbed him into his chest, and then watched the other party pull out his head and reinstall it on his spine.
He said: "I am also interested in immortality. We will cooperate happily."

Chen Tao stood in Batman's exclusive training ground in the Batcave.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then silently activated the Alfred Protocol.
[Synchronized: Broken Bat]
[Crisis Energy Units You Currently Hold: 84]
The cells were boiling, and the silver-white particles entangled in his body... and then turned black.
"Humph!"
Chen Tao snorted fiercely, and half of his body exploded into a black nanorobot, which instantly penetrated all the training robots in front of him!
Sizzle!
The nanorobot turned into a sharp steel knife, and cut the robot in half in an instant!
But it was not his attack that made Chen Tao groan...
The negative memories of the Broken Bat were attacking him. Compared with Bane Bat or the Batmobile, these negative emotions were not of the same magnitude.
Chen Tao thought silently, but even with such a huge infusion of negative emotions, he was still able to think clearly.
"This is not enough to defeat me."
Chen Tao looked at his hands: "But it is enough to interfere with my synchronization with other Batmen at the same time."
