Chapter 338 Flirtatious Snape and Sirius
Rove and Shirley returned to the first floor along the stairs, but the screams had disappeared, and the entire hall was dead silent.
Shirley held her breath and listened attentively. After a while, she lowered her voice and said:
"I think I heard Mrs. Norris calling."
Rove nodded slightly, and he heard it too. The voice came from Filch's office. He took out his wand and walked straight to a small room.
The door of Filch's office was closed tightly, and the dim light slipped out through the crack of the door. As he approached, Mrs. Norris' cry became more and more obvious.
Rove asked the Bowtruckle to open the door, he walked in, squinted his eyes, and scanned the entire room.
He had been to Filch's office many times before. Although the room was dark and small, it was generally clean.
But at this moment, the office was in a mess, the desks and chairs fell to the ground, and the cabinets and drawers in the corners were turned into a mess, as if they had been robbed.
Filch was lying on the ground, with Mrs. Norris crouching beside him, meowing horribly.
Rove walked over and touched Filch's nose. He looked up at Shirley and said, "Not dead, just passed out."
The ponytail girl breathed a sigh of relief, she bent down to pick up the scattered objects on the ground, and looked them over carefully.
Rove took out the potion from his pocket and poured it into Filch's nostrils, then he walked towards Shirley and asked, "Did you find anything?"
Shirley pointed to the label on the drawer and read: "'Confiscated materials, highly dangerous'... These are the places that the attackers searched for."
Rove frowned and said, "Is someone looking for the items confiscated by Filch?"
At this moment, Filch, who had been injected with the potion, groaned. He opened his eyes in a daze, and found himself lying on the ground. He woke up suddenly and sat up.
"Mr. Filch, who sneaked into your room and attacked you?" Rove asked, "Did you see clearly?"
"Peter Pettigrew... I just came back from patrol, and when I opened the door, I saw him, looking for something in the box."
Filch gasped heavily, and he said with fear on his face, "I was about to call someone, and then he knocked me unconscious."
"Peterina Pettigrew?" Rove narrowed his eyes, with a suspicious look on his face.
What is Peter looking for in Filch's office?
"Shirley, bring out one of Xixiu."
The girl with ponytail nodded slightly. She took the black suitcase from Rove, opened it, and quickly got in.
Rove raised his wand and said, "Traces appear."
The wand belched golden smoke that enveloped the room.
This is a tracking spell that can be used to show traces of short-term activity in an area.
Soon, there were many messy footprints on the ground, and some handprints, touching the cabinet, as if they were rummaging for something.
Shirley quickly brought Xixiu out. After Rove promised a Gallon, the little guy sniffed and kept sniffing the footprints on the ground, like a police dog.
The snuffer sniffed at several shining footprints, finally locked onto Peter's scent, and ran out of the room, followed by Rove and Shirley.
But not long after they walked out of the room, a thin man with a big hooked nose stepped out of the shadows.
Snape was dressed in black, with black hair, a thin face, and black eyes, like shadows in the darkness.
"Scamander, Swinton... what are you two doing here if you don't sleep most of the night?" Snape said with a malicious smile:
"I think it's time for Dumbledore to take care of the student's puppy love."
Shirley blushed, and Rove coughed and explained:
"Professor Snape, you have misunderstood... We are looking for Peter. He just sneaked into Filch's office and knocked Filch unconscious."
"My sniffing can smell his scent. Peter should not be far away now."
There was surprise in Snape's black eyes. He took out his wand and said with murderous intent, "Where is Peter? Lead the way!"
The three walked up the stairs, and when they passed the fourth floor, footsteps came from the corridor, and there was still a faint light not far away.
Snape stood in front of Rove and Shirley, holding his wand high and aiming into the distance.
Another familiar figure appeared, Sirius walked over, the light came from an oil lamp hanging in his hand.
When Sirius saw the three of them, he was stunned for a moment, and then instantly imagined thousands of mountains and rivers.
Like Snape, he agreed that Rove and Shirley stayed up in the middle of the night and were dating in the castle...
As for Snape, he had apparently caught the poor couple on patrol and was about to take them to Dumbledore's office.
No, save them!
Regardless of the relationship between Rove and himself, or because of his displeasure with Snape, Sirius decided to take action!
"Rove, Shirley, why are you two here...Didn't I ask you to go back to the academy?" Sirius walked over and said:
"Professor Snape, don't make it difficult for Rove and Shirley. They have been in my office tonight, discussing Defense Against the Dark Arts with me...not secretly dating."
Rove: "..."
Shirley: "..."
Rove couldn't help rubbing his forehead, what the hell is going on, he sighed, and told the story of Peter beating Filch unconscious again.
"Peter sneaked into Hogwarts?" Sirius frowned, "Then let's go find him!"
This time the four of them were on the road, Rove glanced at it and found that it happened to be a drawing of a badger, an eagle, a snake, and a lion... It was really lively tonight.
Xixiu searched all the way, and finally stopped on the fifth floor. It was lying in front of a large mirror, digging the ground frantically, and planed up bursts of dust.
"There is a secret passage behind here, leading to Hogsmeade." Sirius raised his wand, tapped the mirror and said, "The world in the mirror!"
The mirror opened instantly, revealing a passageway large enough for a slightly thinner person to enter.
"There is a secret passage here?" Snape looked very surprised, with a cold smile on his face, staring at Sirius and said:
"You know the secret passage from outside the school to the inside of the school, but you didn't say it? Black, you really deserve to be Peter's good classmate. Now I doubt whether he came in with your help."
"Could it be that I have already told Dumbledore the secret way, but the headmaster didn't tell you? I'm afraid you will leak the secret."
Sirius confronted each other without showing any weakness:
"I still suspect that Peter came in with your help. I checked this secret passage before, and it completely collapsed. Could it be that you helped Peter reopen it?"
The two raised their wands at the same time, aiming at each other.
"Okay!" Rove said impatiently, "Can you two shut up and be quiet for a while? Are you annoying?
Still arguing at a time like this... Noisy, how the hell have you become such idiots now? "
Both Snape and Sirius looked at Rove, a little stunned for a moment, as if they were frightened by him.
Even Shirley was so shocked that she couldn't speak for a few seconds, she quietly took out her wand, in case Snape attacked Rove, she could help the boy resist.
Snape finally came back to his senses, he showed a dangerous look: "Scamander, what did you just say?"
"He said you were an idiot." Sirius whistled: "The evaluation is quite fair."
"Shut up!" Snape said viciously, "If you insult the professor, Hufflepuff will deduct 100 points!"
"The evaluation is fair, and Hufflepuff adds one hundred and ten points." Sirius said.
The two quarreled again, and Rove ignored them. He looked at Shirley and said, "Go, I'll take you back to the Ravenclaw lounge."
"Stop chasing Peter?" Shirley asked.
"This secret passage leads to Hogsmeade." Rove shook his head and said, "I won't be able to catch up tonight... let's go."
The two turned to leave, and behind them they could hear Snape and Sirius confronting each other.
"Two hundred points for Hufflepuff."
"Two hundred and ten points for Hufflepuff."
"Three hundred points for Hufflepuff."
Shirley leaned close to Rove's ear, her voice was as soft as a whisper, and she asked, "What are the two of them doing?"
Rove thought for a while and said, "An old classmate's flirting."
