Chapter 444: The Smuggling Girl
The dementors who disappeared around Easter were able to "go home" by themselves after a few months of disappearance, which was indeed beyond Rove's expectations.
He thought that guy was also captured by some magizoologist as research material, and he even felt a little bit of sympathy, it seemed that he was thinking too much.
The dementor is back, of course you have to ask where it went.
According to it, it was Easter that chased Pettigret Peter, strayed into the cave in the Forbidden Forest, and got lost in it.
There seemed to be nothing wrong with this explanation, and Fudge could only let it go.
Everyone took the carriage and returned to the Ministry of Magic.
Stepping into the deserted and empty hall, Fudge frowned. He waved, and when Umbridge approached, he asked:
"Where's the delegation from the British Ministry of Magic?"
"Mr. Minister," Umbridge approached Fudge's ear, whispering:
"Barty Crouch had set off with them half an hour ago."
"Didn't I say to leave after I come back from Azkaban?" Fudge's voice was instantly cold, and his eyebrows were knit together.
"Don't you know Barty Crouch? He won't wait for anyone at all."
Umbridge complained in a low voice: "You suspended him for another year and demoted him two grades in a row. It is inevitable that you will be resentful and disobey your orders."
"He is no longer the director of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, yet he dares to show off in front of me." Fudge narrowed his eyes and said gloomyly:
"When he comes back from Berlin, let him be demoted two grades in a row, and he can be an ordinary clerk, thank God."
Rove, who was standing at the side, could only watch his words and pretended not to hear them.
Barty Crouch and Fudge have been political enemies for many years. They also competed together for the post of Minister of Magic, so they have already had a lot of hatred.
Last year, Fudge directly suspended Crouch for a full year based on Sirius Black's unjust, false and wrongful conviction.
Crouch had just finished his investigation recently and returned to the Ministry of Magic, and this whole thing... Of course Fudge was very upset.
Rove thought for a while and said, "Mr. Minister, I'd better take the Orient Express to Berlin by myself."
He is going to Austria with Dumbledore, but before that, Dumbledore needs to go to Berlin, Germany to attend the International Federation of Wizards Conference this summer.
Therefore, Rove will go to Berlin first and wait for the end of the Dumbledore meeting.
"Rove, it's a special period recently. Wizards who go to Germany have to go through strict inspections..."
Fudge glanced at the box in Rove's hand. He didn't want the boy to be captured by the German Ministry of Magic and thrown into the famous Oxta Prison as soon as he got off the train.
"You'd better go to Berlin with the British delegation, it's much less risky."
"But hasn't Mr. Crouch already left?" Rove said.
"Minister, the International Federation of Wizards sent a floating dragon ship." Umbridge interjected, "This party should not have left the territory of the UK, and you can use the Floo Network."
"That's right!" Fudge's eyes lit up and said, "Immediately let the Floo Network Management Bureau contact the floating dragon boat and connect with their fireplace..."
Since Fudge said so, Rove no longer insisted, just wait quietly.
With the order of the Minister of Magic, the Floo Network Administration quickly got in touch with the spacecraft and connected to the Floo Network.
After saying goodbye to Fudge, Rove went to the fireplace, grabbed a pinch of floo powder, and threw the powder into the fire.
"A floating dragon boat."
After the boy finished speaking, his body flew into the air, as if being sucked into a huge socket hole, and he felt dizzy.
When the swirling green flames disappeared, he appeared in a gilded fireplace.
Rove walked out of the fireplace in a daze, but unexpectedly, a young wizard rushed out from the corridor on the other side and bumped into him.
Rove staggered, looked up, and found that it was a girl of sixteen or seventeen years old, her long black hair was tied into a delicate braid with a red-gold headband, hanging obliquely over her left shoulder.
The girl fell to the ground, she let out a scream and touched her painful buttocks.
Luo Fu hurriedly helped her up and asked, "Are you okay?"
There were hurried footsteps in the distance, and three wizards in standard robes ran over quickly.
The girl's complexion changed, and she ran away. Rove didn't understand the situation, and didn't meddle in his own business to stop her.
The girl was very fast. She was around the corner and met another house elf.
This time the girl didn't bump into the opponent, but nimbly dodged sideways, and even grabbed a horn full of wine from the tray in its hand.
Rove suddenly saw a pink purse dropped where the girl had just fallen, and he bent down to pick it up. Just as he was about to check it, the three chasing wizards finally ran to his side.
They all wore the same standard robes, with a golden floating dragon pattern hanging on their chests, which seemed to be the staff of this floating dragon ship.
"Sorry... sir, did you see which direction that witch was running in?" A tall man asked out of breath.
Rove didn't hide anything, pointed to the corridor on the left and said, "She ran in that direction."
"thank you!"
The two wizards continued to chase, and the tall man was left, looking at Rove and saying:
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Rolf Scamander?"
"That's right, it's me." Rove nodded and said, "You know me?"
"Well, I saw your picture on the Daily Prophet." The tall wizard smiled:
"My name is Carmel, and I am the staff of this floating dragon boat.
The Ministry of Magic communicated with us just now, knowing that you will use the fireplace to come over... Shall I take you to the room of the British delegation? "
"Thank you, Mr. Carmel." Carrying his black suitcase, Rove followed him forward and said curiously:
"What happened to that girl just now?"
"This ship hosts delegations from various countries and goes to Berlin to participate in the International Confederation of Wizards." Kamel explained:
"But that girl didn't have any Ministry of Magic ride permits, she was brought up illegally."
The two walked through the corridor and soon arrived at a huge room. The wizards sitting in the room all looked up at Rove.
This room is full of officials from the British Ministry of Magic, so they all know the blond boy.
"Mr. Barty Crouch, I brought Mr. Rove Scamander." After Carmel finished speaking, he bid farewell and left.
Barty Crouch was a man in his fifties with a short mustache that looked trimmed with a slide rule, his robes were spotless without a wrinkle, and his shoes were well polished.
Crouch glanced at Rove and said coldly:
"Bertha, you take Mr. Scamander to his own room."
"Yes, Mr. Crouch." A chubby witch with curly blond hair walked over quickly, and she said with a smile on her face:
"Mr Scamander, this way, please."
Rove followed her and went to his room. After Bertha left, he put the box on the table and took out the pink packet that the girl had just dropped.
Rove opened the wallet, wanting to check if there was any information, but was stunned.
He turned the wallet over and shook it slightly, only to see a lot of things fall down:
Bundles of unicorn hair, a handful of phoenix tail feathers, werewolf hair, river monster spines, yew, snakewood, spruce, sycamore...
...
