Chapter 349: cry for damian
"In some ways, he's a genius!"
Even though Omega is an enemy, Nightwing praises Omega for its genius.
"Batcave?! Why are you here."
Diana asked Nightwing.
"This is indeed the old bat cave, yes, but it has been abandoned for many years."
Nightwing sighed, "Omega moved everything to downtown Gotham a long time ago for reinforcement. He even built the Wayne Gardens brick by brick on top of the Wayne Building."
"But we're owls now, and we've learned to hide in enemy burrows!"
Nightwing looked at some of the bat caves around him, and said with a sigh: "Diana, we understood before that happened. When the riot started, we fought like bats, but now. ...that sign has become something... something rotten."
"The bat has changed in Gotham!"
He whispered while stroking the old display case.
The air was a little dignified, and several people were silent.
After a while, Diana spoke slowly, "Dick, I'm really glad you're still alive, all of you. But have you been fighting Omega all the time?"
Nightwing turned his head away, "Yes. After the War of Fire, the Clay Wars, and the Season of the Demons, in all of the battles, Omega just rose up like this...he's not like any we've faced before. Something, we tried our best and we couldn't resist him."
"He's the same as Bruce, but he's a bat that gets carried away with rage. He's faster, he's stronger, he takes us all down... He takes over the city, takes over everybody. We It was also under his control for a long time, many years..."
"Dick!"
After waiting for Dick to finish, Diana apologized to Nightwing aloud, "I'm really sorry, after the battle of sudden fire, I chose to escape, and I didn't face it with you."
There was a complicated look on her face, "I don't know if that was the right choice, but I have to say sorry to you, to everyone here who insists."
"Do not!"
Nightwing turned his face, "Diana, we don't blame you, you took the people to hide underground, you saved a lot of people, that is also a means of fighting Omega, and the soldiers here and I can't blame you! And the Battle of Sudden Fire, Diana, I know it wasn't your fault."
Nightwing led Diana and Raven with the Joker's lantern to a metal platform.
"It was Tim who saved us, and in the early fight against Omega, he went down and broke his neck in a grandy pit, so they thought he was done. But he fought back and developed a system that could A uniform that defies Omega's ideas."
(Tim: Not the second-generation Robin Tim, but Tim Hunter of the Dark Justice League, a superhero with an extraordinary talent for telepathy and superintelligence.)
Nightwing continued: "He created a signal blocker, he liberated us, and formed an army of hundreds of good men."
But he sighed again immediately, "But... it's all pointless."
"Meaningless?"
"Yes, because Omega intends to activate a new beacon, nothing will stand in his way."
Nightwing's face was hidden in the darkness, and his voice became cold.
"No, it's too early to tell, we still have a chance to fight back. Batman is still there, and we have new reinforcements."
Diana is not as pessimistic as Nightwing, and as long as Eric is around, she will not completely cut off hope.
"Batman is dead!"
Nightwing didn't know what happened to Batman, he shook his head blankly, "It's in the lobby of the Justice League."
"No! Not Gotham's Batman, but an earlier Batman, when I just left Paradise Island and just came to this world, when everything had no origin."
Diana took a breath. "In order to cover us, he faced off against Omega in the Burning Plains. Although it was a battle with some disparity in combat power, I believe that he must be fine, and he must be able to escape without incident."
"I only know that there is a Batman in this world, and that is Gotham's Bat. As for the earlier Batman you mentioned, I have not seen it and can't judge, but... no one To escape from the fight with Omega."
Nightwing looked at Diana's face and said pessimistically.
"Like the fight we had before, Tim was dead, and everyone but us was dead. It was a no-win fight, and Omega didn't even take a shot, and we were all destroyed."
"what......?"
Diana looked at Nightwing in astonishment, "Tim is dead?!"
"Not just Tim!"
Barbara's voice came from behind, "Everyone, including my father, died at the hands of Omega. The reality is so cruel, we have tried everything, but we still can't escape the fate of failure."
Barbara's tone was full of anger. She looked directly at Diana. "Look at those glass covers!"
She pressed the button next to the instrument table, the floor was opened, and three glass jars rose from the ground.
Inside the transparent glass jar are mannequins with several familiar uniforms draped over them.
On the far left is Jason Todd's black uniform.
In the center is the feminine yellow and black uniform, which is the costume of Batgirl Cassandra.
On the far right is a slightly smaller uniform in red and black, which should be Robin-Damian Wayne's uniform.
"Say their names with me!"
Barbara raised her voice, which expressed her extreme anger.
"Jason, Cassandra, and Damian!"
"Damian is just a child but he bravely fulfilled his hero's identity as Robin, fighting to the end, he..."
At the end, Barbara's voice was a little choked, "He's just a child, not a child growing up. He'll never get a chance to see the world and show him the way it should be. He's lying in my arms, Quietly close my eyes, I can't do anything... We lost everything, we have nothing left, and this is the end for me and Dick, nothing will change! Wonder Woman, you Can't change anything!"
Barbara's mourning voice echoed in the air.
Not just mourning for Damian, but for all those comrades who have passed away.
"Barbara, I understand your pain."
Diana lowered her head and said in a heavy voice.
"No, you don't understand at all!"
Barbara stepped in front of Diana, face to face with her.
