Chapter 375: No chat box?
Chapter 375 No chat box?
“Okay, let me meet this Elios for a while and see who she is!”
Everyone returned to their seats and downloaded the desktop program.
Although some people fell in love with the figure of Elrios at a glance and bought it immediately, most people still chose to wait and see. After all, the price of this thing is still relatively high. There are not that many rich guys who are really willing to make impulse purchases, not to mention there is so much inventory in the store.
Hou Ji returned to his seat and quickly installed Arios’ desktop companion program.
Of course, all devices in the Nitian Game Experience Store are updated and maintained uniformly. After subsequent system updates, the Alice Desktop Companion program will be automatically installed, and players no longer need to install it manually.
Soon, the download and installation is completed.
Hou Ji was a little surprised that this desktop companion program was as large as more than 800 MB, which is even comparable to some medium-sized games.
However, after the installation was completed, Hou Ji felt that the 800M was not a loss because the accuracy of the resources was indeed high!
After installation on the computer, the entire computer desktop will turn into a specific background.
This looks like a relatively plain reading room or reception room, with not many furnishings in the room itself.
The center of the picture is a place similar to a reception desk, with a long front desk and a work computer.
In the four corners of the picture, there are different areas of different sizes, large and small near and far.
The upper left corner is an outdoor scene. You can see the beach, deck chairs, a corner of the beach volleyball court, coconut trees, blue sky and white clouds.
The upper right corner is a simple rest area with massage chairs, sofas, coffee tables, etc.
The lower left corner and the lower right corner may appear to be closer to the camera and occupy a larger area due to perspective.
There is a large screen in the lower left corner, and some content will be played randomly on it. There is also a large yoga mat and some simple fitness equipment.
As for the elements in the lower right corner, they are the most complex. They are a desk and various books. There is a laptop on the table. It looks smaller than the one at the front desk, but has a more artistic temperament.
Although the perspective of the scene itself is fixed and cannot be dragged, in terms of layout, it still gives players an immersive feeling.
Hou Ji was a little confused at first. Why should there be so many messy elements in one scene?
Although it looks more real and more like a real-life scene, it also makes the player's desktop look a little cluttered.
What's more, whether it is desktop pets or desktop elves, most of them only have very limited interaction options. Even if they create complex scenes, players will most likely not be able to use them.
However, Hou Ji soon understood that the design of the desktop wizard obviously had some unique plans in it!
First of all, players can choose to block any of these five areas. After blocking, it will turn into a gradient solid color background.
If players find it cluttered, they can keep only part of the area, block out the rest, and place desktop icons.
Judging from the current layout, the upper left corner and the upper right corner are obviously more suitable for shielding and placing icons.
The only character in this scene, Arios, will randomly move between several scenes. Sometimes she goes to the front desk to handle matters, sometimes she goes to the beach in the upper left corner to sunbathe or play, and sometimes she goes to the lower left corner to practice yoga.
Every time she switches scenes, she will leave the screen, change clothes, and then return to the corresponding scene.
The scene where she spends the most time is still in the lower right corner, followed by the lower left corner.
Obviously, if the player only wants "pure mode" and makes his computer desktop look as simple as possible, then just keep the desk in the lower right corner. When Elrios is reading at the desk in the lower right corner, her AI will be fully activated and she will speak to the player.
Alios can speak in both voice and text forms. Players can freely choose to turn off voice or text. They can also reduce the frequency of Elios' conversations, or even ask her to shut up completely and not say anything.
These functions are not very complicated. Hou Ji understood them after a simple exploration.
“It still sounds interesting, let me try it?”
Hou Ji put on his headphones, briefly adjusted the settings, and was ready.
Alios initially read a book at the table, looking peaceful, natural and beautiful.
Soon, Hou Ji encountered the first problem: "But... there is no chat input box here!"
Houji originally thought that this desktop wizard would be like a smart speaker or various AIs on the Internet, capable of communicating at will.
This is actually not difficult to do. After all, fake-AI has ready-made templates, and typing communication has long been possible. Not to mention now, this function has already been completed in the "City Abandoned by Gods" developed by Nitiantian.
But the problem is that there is no input box on the desktop elf, which also means that players cannot actively chat with Arios.
You can type in text documents or browsers, but these will not trigger feedback from Arios.
She was still reading there quietly. At this time, Hou Ji and she were like two passers-by in the study room. Although they felt very close to each other, they were still doing their own things.
Hou Ji was a little disappointed: "It's strange, why is this function kept going back more and more? It has also castrated the original functions of fake-AI, right?"
“I thought Nitiantian could train such a strong AI this time.
“Store manager, will you join the chat box in the future?”
Hou Ji looked at Gu Fan with a pleading look, but Gu Fan smiled and shook his head: "Desktop Elf? No."
Unexpectedly, Gu Fan gave the answer so simply, and Hou Ji couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.
Zhuge Jun said: "The store manager just said that the desktop elves do not have a chat box, but he did not say that there is no chat box in the game. I think this design makes sense. After all, the desktop elves should not be too dominant. It may be that there are some special features at the beginning of the design. consider."
Hou Ji reluctantly accepted this explanation. He tried tapping Elios a few times, but the other party did not respond.
It’s like two people are separated by thick soundproof glass. No matter whether they are banging or shouting, they can’t attract each other’s attention.
“So how to trigger it?”
Hou Ji was confused. He tried several methods, but none of them worked.
“Just click on any game on the table.” Zhuge Jun seemed to have discovered the clue first and prompted.
Hou Ji doubtfully clicked the game icon on the desktop. Sure enough, Arios temporarily put down the book in her hand and looked in the direction of the screen.
“Huh? Are you also a player of the game Against Heaven?”
