Closing remarks
Hahaha, I may be a little embarrassed to say it, but when I typed the word "finished", I felt really sad.
Before I knew it, it has been nearly a year since our book was published in July.
If you are interested, I can write a few chapters about the protagonists' happy demon-killing.
As for the overall performance, a friend in the book review area has already summarized it for me in four words - high opening and low closing.
In fact, as an author, I am really ashamed, because I really did not grasp the story rhythm and narrative style of the whole book, and therefore lost a lot of readers, which really failed everyone's expectations.
I am not afraid of being laughed at, in fact, because the Hong Kong variety show that I loved to read suddenly died, and I was really short of books at that time, so I thought about writing a Hong Kong variety show novel that suits my taste.
But I didn't expect that I would actually achieve certain results in the end, from the first order of 2,000 to a monthly boutique, which is actually quite proud for me as a novice writer.
One million and a half words, for a novel with Hong Kong variety show themes, it is actually not short.
The nature of the subject matter of Hong Kong variety shows actually determines its length. As for whether it can be written later, of course it can be written directly into Hong Kong spooky stories, and it is absolutely no problem to write hundreds of thousands of words.
But as mentioned above, the style of this book has been somewhat fragmented, and writing Hong Kong spooky stories again is really a bit of a money-making nature.
By the way, I saw many readers in the comment area saying that the movie plot was plagiarized, and I would like to explain it here.
Strictly speaking, I really didn’t plagiarize, but I changed the character name and copied it directly.
The reason is very simple. I wrote this book to let the protagonist, me, and readers feel the classic scenes in those Hong Kong movies again.
Sometimes I am afraid that everyone has not noticed which movie a certain plot is used, so I will remind them in the writer’s words.
Of course, I will also try my best to lay the groundwork and polish it so that everyone will not suddenly lose interest.
Some friends also said that the character of Brother Rong is a bit neurotic. Sometimes he is cold and cruel, and sometimes he suddenly turns into a nonsensical personality.
Actually, this is because of my personality as an author. You can all see that I am a die-hard fan of Stephen Chow, and my personal personality is actually a bit humorous.
If you ask me to write a dark and cold Hi Gang boss, I can write dozens of chapters, but I really can't write more than one million words.
So sometimes people think that the protagonist's personality conflicts and looks a bit schizophrenic, which is indeed my shortcoming.
Of course, in the end, it is still the same old link. I really really really thank you for your support.
Whether it is the readers who gave up halfway through the book or the readers who have been following the book, thank you! Thank you!
As for the new book, it is already being written.
In fact, there are two ideas, one is [Hong Kong-style Xiuxian] and the other is [American Comprehensive]. I am also struggling with which one to write. I will ask the editor when the time comes.
If nothing unexpected happens, the new book will be issued next week.
Here, of course, I still hope that everyone can continue to support me. When the new book is issued, you can help me add a follow-up or invest to earn some coins.
Finally, I wish you all good health and family harmony.
Good night.
