Chapter 807 J-11 improvement plan?

Guizhou Aircraft Group.

The outline of the huge 011 aviation base can be seen at this time.

With the huge amount of funds invested, a large number of construction workers and construction equipment are used, and the construction speed is very fast.

Many factory buildings have been completed.

Especially in the dormitory area, all the relocated employees have moved in.

It only takes a few more years for the entire 011 aviation base to be completed.

And the safety here is beyond doubt.

Being in the heart of China, the safety factor here is very high.

It is not so easy to attack here.

The flight test institute is also in good shape, and the team has been initially established.

There is also an aviation research institute, which will conduct special research here.

When Liu Tao arrived at Guizhou Aircraft Group, Guizhou Aircraft Group was delivering a new batch of aircraft to the troops.

There are J-7A advanced trainer aircraft, Eagle advanced trainer aircraft, "Ray Eagle" helicopters, and J-11 fighters.

The J-11 fighter jets have been delivered to the troops for service since the first batch last year. So far, they have been highly praised by the troops. With excellent performance, strong combat effectiveness, advanced avionics system, power system and weapon system, the J-11 fighter jets have become the stars of the air force as soon as they entered the troops.

Now those who can fly the J-11 fighter jets are undoubtedly the elites of the air force. They have to go through a series of assessments and trainings, and those with excellent results can fly the J-11 fighter jets.

As for the J-7A advanced trainer and the Eagle advanced trainer, they are used as trainers to train pilots.

In addition to being delivered to the troops, the J-7A advanced trainer, the Eagle advanced trainer and the export version of the J-11 fighter jet will be delivered to customers in batches.

However, the delivery volume is still relatively small.

This is also the norm for ordering aircraft. The delivery cycle will be relatively long, and delays in delivery are commonplace.

Moreover, the military purchase of fighter jets is often a seller's market, and the seller occupies a strong dominant position.

Although the delivery volume is very small now, it does not prevent Panshan Group from arranging training for customers' pilots.

It takes at least one year just for training.

They all fly advanced training aircraft before, and only after reaching a certain level can they fly J-10 and J-11 fighters.

Of course, these foreign pilots are not flying the self-use version of J-10 and J-11 fighters, but the export version.

The self-use version and the export version are exactly the same in appearance and function, but there is still a gap in performance.

However, even the export version has reached the standard of the third-generation fighter.

It will not be like some countries that have no bottom line, and the export version is weakened to the level of the second and a half generation.

Now Guizhou Aircraft Group has 10 J-10 export versions alone.

However, Liu Tao came here not for the delivery of fighters, but to participate in the J-11B fighter technical solution seminar.

The so-called J-11B fighter is a two-seat model developed on the basis of the J-11A fighter.

Because the J-11B fighter is a two-seat fighter, some of it is used for training and can train novice pilots. This is also a major reason for the existence of two-seat fighters.

In addition, because two-seat fighters have two pilots, they have an extra brain and two eyes when performing complex tasks, making it easier to complete difficult and complex operations.

Even in air combat missions, two pilots of two-seat fighters have considerable advantages when fighting or fighting beyond visual range because they can perform their duties. For example, the observation ability of two people in a fight is much better than that of one person, and they can capture the enemy's movements in a timely manner.

At the same time, when performing ground attack missions that break through local air defense systems, two pilots are more conducive to operating multiple links from flight control, communication command, electronic warfare, to the use of air-to-ground weapons. Usually, the rear-seat pilot of this type of fighter is responsible for operating navigation, weapon management systems, etc., and the front-seat pilot is responsible for concentrating on flying in complex environments.

Of course, with the development of fighter technology, there will be less and less need for two-seat models in the future, because one pilot can complete it with the help of a highly automated fighter system, and this is also an inevitable development trend.

In the future, the fourth-generation fighters will only need single-seat models.

After all, the advantage of a single-seat fighter is simple. It does not require a second set of pilot environmental support systems, such as supply and pressurization, etc. The limited space on the aircraft can be used more to load weapons, fuel, equipment, etc., rather than to accommodate a second pilot. When carrying the same weapons, fuel, and equipment, a single-seat fighter can be smaller than a two-seat fighter.

According to the plan, the J-11 fighter will form four series: J-11A, J-11B, J-11C, J-11D, J-11E, and J-11F.

Among them, J-11A and J-11B belong to the land take-off and landing form. J-11A is a single-seat twin-engine heavy fighter, and J-11B is a twin-seat twin-engine heavy fighter; J-11C and J-11D are carrier-based aircraft. J-11C is a single-seat twin-engine heavy fighter among carrier-based aircraft, and J-11D is a twin-seat twin-engine heavy fighter among carrier-based aircraft.

J-11E and J-11F are export versions. The difference is that one is a single-seat and the other is a twin-seat.

If it is based on its own improved model, reaching the level of a third-generation and a half fighter, or close to the level of a fourth-generation fighter, then the letter will be continued.

And the entire improvement work will last for thirty or even forty years!

This is an advanced fighter with a very large room for improvement, allowing the team to continue to improve.

For the J-11 fighter improvement team, their task and role is not to develop new fighters, but to continuously improve the J-11 fighter.

The same situation also exists in the J-10 fighter development team.

This meeting is about the J-11B fighter.

It seems that it is just a two-seater, and the changes are not big.

But as the saying goes, a single move affects the whole body, and the impact is in all aspects.

For example, whether the power of the aircraft engine is sufficient, whether the avionics system is interfered with, etc.

These are all technical discussions and verifications.

Only when it is determined in theory that there is no problem will the prototype be manufactured.

Otherwise, if there is a problem in the technical demonstration stage, the manufactured prototype will inevitably have many problems.

Once the prototype is manufactured, it cannot be changed casually. The cost of building a prototype is tens of millions.

Even if Panshan Group is large and powerful, it cannot afford such casual waste and tossing.

Liu Tao is also very concerned about the improvement of the J-11 fighter, because the J-11 fighter will be the most advanced fighter in China in the future, the main fighter of the Air Force, and has the strongest combat effectiveness.

Before the birth of the fourth-generation fighter jets, the J-11 fighter jet was the trump card of the Chinese Air Force.

Although the Chinese Air Force is equipped with two heavy fighter jets, the F14 fighter jet and the F15 fighter jet, the performance of these two fighter jets is not weak, but fighter jets have a service life and will eventually be retired.

The J-11 fighter jet is a completely domestically produced third-generation heavy fighter jet, which must support the blue sky of the Republic and maintain the security of Chinese airspace.

The number of J-11 fighter jets may not be as large as the number of J-10 fighter jets, but the importance of the J-11 fighter jet is undoubtedly greater than that of the J-10 fighter jet!
