Chapter 941 Type 901 Supply Ship and Type 819 Electronic Reconnaissance Ship

The advanced marine replenishment system is the core equipment of the advanced large-scale integrated replenishment ship. Since it needs to meet the requirements of stable operation under various sea conditions, the development cost of the marine replenishment system is high and difficult. The number of countries that have mastered such a full set of marine integrated replenishment technology can be counted on one hand.

Liu Tao personally invested in the research and development, and it took a full month to complete the development of the entire new integrated replenishment ship. This is based on the technology of the 903A type replenishment ship. This efficiency is achieved. If it starts from scratch, it will take much longer.

Looking at the model of the 901 type replenishment ship in front of him, Liu Tao nodded with satisfaction.

Although this is not really perfect, there is no such thing as perfection for any product, but whether it is suitable or not, and whether it is suitable for current needs.

That is why there will be larger and more advanced supply ships appearing.

No one can achieve success overnight!

Besides, if it is too advanced, it is not a good thing, because advanced means complex and costly, and the more advanced it is, the more complex and costly it is!

If Liu Tao makes a too advanced supply ship, the navy may not be able to equip it.

Liu Tao has seen the model of the Type 901 supply ship in front of him.

The Type 901 comprehensive supply ship is 241 meters long and 32 meters wide, with a displacement of 49,000 tons and a speed of 26 knots. It carries two helicopters and can carry vertical supply. There are 4 supply stations on the left and 3 supply stations on the right. The extra one on the left is for supplying aviation fuel to the aircraft carrier.

In addition, the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship is equipped with 4 6-barrel 30mm close-in defense guns, which gives it a strong supply capability and a certain self-defense capability.

The Type 901 comprehensive supply ship can carry 17,000 tons of ship fuel, 6,500 tons of carrier-based aircraft aviation fuel, 900 tons of fresh water, and 3,000 tons of dry ammunition.

It can be said that this type of ship is first-class among similar ships in the world in terms of design indicators and technical performance. Even if we look around the world, only the American supply ships can be compared with it.

In terms of appearance design and electronic equipment, the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship is far ahead.

More importantly, the cost of the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship is not high.

This allows the navy to equip 2~3 Type 901 comprehensive supply ships, thereby greatly improving the supply capacity of the Chinese Navy, thereby improving the ocean cruising capability and ocean combat capability.

Liu Tao decided to build two Type 901 comprehensive supply ships first, the first ship is the Type 965 ‘Hulun Lake’, and the second ship is the Type 967 ‘Chagan Lake’.

Back in the office, Liu Tao printed out all the design data of the Type 901 comprehensive supply ship.

Yangcheng Shipyard.

A Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship was officially delivered to the navy.

This is the second Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship of the Chinese Navy. The first Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship has never been clearly assigned to any of the three major fleets. Because there was only one ship before, all three fleets wanted it, and they argued more than once. Later, it was not assigned to any specific fleet, but was transferred according to the mission.

With the completion of the second Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship, the ownership of the first Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship 780, the "Tianshuxing", was finally determined and assigned to the South China Sea Fleet.

The second Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship 781, the "Tianxuanxing", belongs to the North Sea Fleet.

The third Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship 782, the "Tianjixing", which is currently under construction in the dock and will be launched at the end of the year, will belong to the East China Sea Fleet.

At present, there are three main types of electronic reconnaissance ships equipped by the Chinese Navy, namely Type 816, Type 817, and Type 818.

Among them, the 817-type electronic reconnaissance ship has a standard displacement of 1,000 tons, a full load displacement of 1,100 tons, and a cruising range of 2,000 nautical miles/15 knots. It is positioned as a near-shore electronic reconnaissance ship, and the reconnaissance range includes the first and second island chains. Currently, 15 ships are equipped, and each of the three major fleets is equipped with 5 ships, keeping a close eye on the movements of the first and second island chains.

The 816-type electronic reconnaissance ship has a standard displacement of 3,200 tons, a full load displacement of 4,000 tons, and a cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles/15 knots. This is an ocean-going reconnaissance ship. When cooperating with a supply ship, it can go to the other side of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Currently, 6 ships are equipped, and each of the three major fleets is equipped with 2 ships. Every time there is an escort in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Aden, there will be an 816-type electronic reconnaissance ship following.

The standard displacement of the 818-type electronic reconnaissance ship is 15,000 tons, the full load displacement is 18,000 tons, the self-sustaining capacity is 80 days, the endurance is 13,000 nautical miles at 20 knots, and the endurance is 15,000 nautical miles at 15 knots. The reconnaissance range of the 818-type electronic reconnaissance ship reaches an astonishing 6,000 kilometers. It is positioned as a real ocean-going reconnaissance ship, which may appear in the Arctic or the Antarctic, and is fully capable of appearing in any corner of the oceans.

The goal of the 818-type electronic reconnaissance ship is actually very clear, that is, to keep an eye on the Eagle Sauce and the Polar Bear. In the future, 6 ships will be deployed to monitor missiles, rockets, aircraft, etc.

In terms of electronic reconnaissance ships, the Ship Research Institute has just successfully developed the 819-type electronic reconnaissance ship. The 819-type electronic reconnaissance ship has a standard displacement of 6,000 tons, a full load displacement of 7,200 tons, a cruising range of 12,000 nautical miles/15 knots, and a staff of 45 people (20 crew members, 20 technicians, and 5 scientists).

The Type 819 electronic reconnaissance ship is a model between the Type 816 and Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ships, and is used to make up for the shortfall between them. It is expected that a total of 9 ships will be built, with 3 ships allocated to each of the three fleets.

By 2010, China will have 36 electronic reconnaissance ships of various types to meet the needs of China's near-sea and offshore ocean surveillance, ocean measurement, and missile/rocket observation.

Electronic reconnaissance ships are the navy's maritime reconnaissance pioneers, and their appearance rate in peacetime is no less than that of main battleships.

To a certain extent, the strength of electronic reconnaissance ships determines the combat effectiveness of the fleet.

It is precisely because of these electronic reconnaissance ships that within the third island chain, every move is difficult to conceal from the Chinese Navy.

The officers and soldiers of the North Sea Fleet drove the Type 818 electronic reconnaissance ship "Tianjixing" away, and two Type 054 frigates and one Type 052 frigate set off together, all of which were to be transferred to the North Sea Fleet together.

The current pressure on the North Sea Fleet is getting bigger and bigger. After all, the North Sea Fleet's maritime defense area is the Yellow Sea and Bohai Bay north of Lianyungang. Its main task is to defend the capital's maritime gateway and guard against maritime threats to China from surrounding areas, and it undertakes the important task of protecting the capital.

In recent years, the strength of the North Sea Fleet has been rapidly improving.

With the addition of the 818-type electronic reconnaissance ship "Tianjixing", two 054-type frigates, and one 052-type frigate, the strength of the North Sea Fleet can be further enhanced.

At the same time, a "Wu Diao" heavy helicopter followed along, heading north, and will carry out a series of tests in the North Sea, East China Sea, Bohai Bay, and Yellow Sea.

The "Wu Diao" heavy helicopter is also being tested in the marine environment to prepare for the development of a naval-specific version later.

Liu Tao watched this formation heading north, but he was not worried about safety. After all, within the Zhonghai area, he could get support from the naval aviation at any time, even if he encountered an aircraft carrier formation.
